Vourvourou is on the eastern side of the peninsula of Sithonia, Greece. It boasts a Seychelles-like natural landscape mainly because of the majestic stones that are plunged into the emerald waters of the Aegean Sea.
Vourvourou is a holiday gateway for people who need peace and quietness. If you are looking for a lively place where you can enjoy a vibrant nightlife, then opt for a resort on the Kassandra peninsula. In fact, in Vourvourou there is no promenade or a special street with bars, restaurants and shops. Restaurants are located in guesthouses’ yards on the main road connecting the village with other resorts in Sithonia.
The most beautiful beach in the area – Karydi is 2 km south of the village’s center. It features a couple of picturesque bays. The shallow waters of the sea perfectly reflect the color of the sky. The water features a magnificent turquoise color.
The Stone cape beach of Karydi combines azure waters, lush Mediterranean vegetation and fine sand. There are nine rocky islets very close to the shore. The beach is overlooking the Mount Athos. The landscape is the same as pictured on best wallpapers of an exotic beach.
This pristine beach is not organized, there are no toilets, bars and restaurants, just one canteen for refreshing drinks and snacks.
We love that place but the lack of toilets is a problem especially in high season.
